As promised, I am here to report on my Group Power class last night.

I can't count how many times I almost bailed again... lol, but the pivitol moment was when I walked into the VERY full class room, fumbled to figure out what I needed, guessed at weight, because I could not, for the life of me, remember how many kg were in a lb (I know now!!)... and turned around to see there was only ONE place for me to be in the class.
Right. In. Front.
Fuck.
Right in front of this class, and the instructor was really the last place I wanted to be. But at that point, leaving would have been total humiliation. And I was reminded of the idea to "do something that scares you everyday" So, I stayed.
And I am very glad I did!
So, the whole "guessing" on weight thing - meh. I mean, I could have gone a little heavier with legs, and I needed to go a little lighter with upper body, but I got through it for sure. My arms are chest are SCREAMING today... I feel my legs too. We hit every area in this 55 minute class and I was sweating. It was really, really excellent. And I WILL be going back next week.

My original plan was for Active tonight and tomorrow to be a rest day, but I totally forgot about church choir rehearsal tonight, so I am going to switch. Rest today, kickboxing tomorrow! Sweeeet...
Eats for today:
coffee with 1 packet diet cocoa (I can see you rolling your eyes~ LOL)
B: ezekial bread with 2 tbs natural pb
S: 2 oz cabot 75% reduced fat cheese, 2 mini-bananas
L: 3 chickpea-quinoa burgers (lovingly and deliciously made by the hubs!), baby carrots
S: 1/2 cup lowfat cottage cheese, 1/2 cup mixed frozen berries
D: Spicy black bean soup... need some major veggies with dinner...
S: NONE. gotta get out of the evening-eating habit.
So, about the cocoa - I got into this habit around Christmas of mixing freshly brewed coffee with hot cocoa mix. It's... well, it's a poor-mans mocha. Starbucks, be damned! BUT - really NOT on the plan, as it's made with lots of artificial ingredients. Well, I've had a bit of a struggle letting it go, so I am weaning myself off. Source Using a little packet of "sensible sweets" hot cocoa, I made my little mocha. I have 2 packets of the stuff left, and when it's gone, there will be no more.
We can't ALL be perfect.
I've gotten back into the swing of logging all my food. I tried to love the BodyBugg food logging system, but I just don't. Period. I don't. I like seeing my calorie expenditure, but I hate the system used to log. I went back to my tried and true Livestrong account.
Well, that's all I can think of to say... that, or my arms are too sore to type anymore. You decide.
