Satan's yummy noises

FRIDAY – TGIF!!
I’m just a little excited it’s Friday… J
Stats first, then confessions
Yesterdays stats:
Cals 1275 Fat 49 g Cholesterol 44 mg Sodium 3070 mg Carbs 148 g Fiber 29 g Protein 60 g Sugars 36 g

Menu was a *little* changed (didn’t eat my banana, subbed out grapes instead) but that was all.

I think they look good, ESPECIALLY since I had a hard time staying out of the kitchen last night. The good thing is, when I did go in, I got grapes.

One cup of green grapes contains 104 calories and 1.4 grams of fiber.
Source - so good!

Here’s a confession: I started really craving sweets (in particular, my ghetto-mocha) last night when I stopped at the grocery store for some staples (and FORGOT the Ezekiel bread. Really, Kel? Really??). I smelled the bakery (which, of course, is situated as soon as you walk in the door, and ALONG WITH all the produce. Like, are they TRYING to kill me?) and this craving has spilled over to today. I successfully got through my shopping trip with only the 3 things I went in for (should have been 4, dumbass). Cravings are just really hard to get rid of. I haven’t eaten a thing with added sugar all week, but my mind still wants it. I guess it always will. *sigh*

Got home from the store last night (and oil change, and flu shots) and make delish swordfish and an awesome salad.  Really, it was THAT good. The cravings were not letting up, and I was hungry after a while, so I measured out a cup of grapes and after that, had a hot shower and went to bed.

Screw you, ghetto mocha. SCREW YOU.
It doesn’t help that there is a co-worker of mine who loves the same ghetto mocha and she drinks them like water. And makes yummy noises. Satan.

The kids did well with the shots (as well as a 2 and 5 year old can possibly do with shots, after the 5 year old ran out of the room screaming and I had to chase after him…. Hey, it’s subjective).
Confession #2: I did not get a workout in. Unless you count chasing a 5 year old and muscling him into a flu shot? No? But I’m not sorry. I played with the boys a lot. J
Stats for today:
Cals 1347 Fat 51 g Cholesterol 186 mg Sodium 4245 mg Carbs 150 g Fiber 36 g Protein 87 g Sugars 52

Eats for today:

16 oz chai tea (black)
23 oz water
B: ½ cup quinoa, 2 tbs nat PB, 6 strawberries (PB&J Quinoa?)
23 oz water
S: banana
23 oz water
L: 1 cup spicy black bean soup (finally, the last of it!)
23 oz water
S: ½ cup low fat cottage cheese
23 oz water (during Step)
D: 4 oz clean crispy chicken bites, large green salad with oil and vinegar dressing.

Hmmm… sounds weird, but I feel like this is not a ton of food for being in the 1300 calorie range. It’s all nutrient dense, which = calories (good ones!). I need more veggies, and I should have taken the time to pack them for during the day. I’m saving some of my veggies at home for an egg scramble tomorrow morning after my workout. Yum!

Tonight’s workout: Group Step. No tripping.

Tomorrow: Bodyology – I can’t remember which one, but it will be awesome.

I’m not sure what else the weekend holds. I hope to have some down time to just hang with the kids, but also have to get a lot of house stuff done. You guys all know how that is… never ending!

I hope everyone out there is doing what they need to do to be healthy!

GIT ‘ER DONE!

Onward…
